James is a project manager for Crown Group, and he needed a waterfall painted. Steve Harbridge
(Commercial Account Manager) had brought me along for advice and asked
me to apply some product samples for the head architect to look at.
Waterfall is an oasis of luxury apartments in the suburb of Waterloo (just around the corner from our original Porter's Paints head office),
and a few kilometres form the centre of Sydney. Unbelievably, an actual waterfall cascades down from one of the development's four buildings!

The buildings are constructed from precast concrete, so the architects wanted to even-out the colour
variations and stains caused by the various construction techniques.
So, we're using mid-grey Mineral Silicate Stain. I think this is the best stain for bare concrete as it's the closest to the original colour.
Mineral Silicate Stain is easily applied with a medium nap roller and adds colour consistency to the existing surfaces.

On some areas surrounding the balconies the architect has decided to use Stone Paint Coarse over the pre-primed surfaces.
Stone Paint Coarse can be tinted to almost any colour and looks very flat when it dries.
And that everyone, is how you paint a waterfall. Simple, isn't it? So, if any of your painters are interested in our commercial,
