Marring is an imperfection that can occur in heavily tinted paint. Porter's Paints have
anti-marring waxes in our Aqua Satin Enamel black base range,
which means you can run your fingers over the dark paint surface and leave no marks.
However, not every paint type will contain the ingredients to prevent this effect from occurring.
The marring on the rich-blue coloured walls was too much for Virginia. She needed a solution so that
she could maintain the bright colour on her walls that was the backdrop to her impressive art collection. But, what product could she use?
Romina Basto (Specification and Project Services Consultant) had a clear answer for Virginia's inner-city apartment: Porter's Clearcote.
Clearcote is a tough, one-pack clear sealer generally used to seal our Wood Wash,
but I had suggested this flooring product might be applied to the freshly painted walls to prevent any further marking.

The first coat of Clearcote was allowed to dry completely before the second coat was applied with the same technique as the first.
Once the two coats of Clearcote had completely cured, the tough, water-based sealer was the perfect protection for Virginia's shimmering, blue walls.
With no more marring issues the happy home owner could relax and enjoy the walls that are now covered only with beautiful art.
