Carl's diary: Mineral Silicate Stain
Mineral Silicate Stain is a tough exterior stain used to blend
and even-out colour imperfections on concrete walls. This boutique stain is supplied
in a range of standard handmade colours but can be diluted on-site with
Mineral Silicate Clear to create custom blends. Alternatively,
simply use Mineral Silicate Clear on its own to seal and maintain
the original natural finish of the concrete surface.
So, here are three really basic rules to remember when
using these two products...
1. The concrete needs to be totally cured.
Concrete shrinks as it dries, so applying these Mineral Silicate coatings too
early can result in fine cracks appearing across the surface.
Another issue from incorrect curing is that too
much moisture in the wall's surface
will probably make it difficult for the coating to form the correct bond.
2. Check for water absorbtion. If the surface is too smooth
and shiny the Mineral Silicate will simply slip off. Also, release agents
may still be in the wall's surface which prevents consistent adhesion.
Mineral Silicate Stain and Mineral Silicate Clear bond to concrete only
and nothing else, so use a tilt wash first to remove any foreign agents.
The only thing you want on your concrete surface is porous,
dry concrete. Absolutely nothing else.
3. Apply the Mineral Silicate products by cutting-in and rolling
with a medium nap roller at the same time.
Please don't cut in first then roll as you will see a picture framing
effect and colour variations.

Mineral Silicate Stain은 콘크리트에만 투명하게 접착되어 있으므로,
이물질을 제거하기 위해서는 먼저 틸트 워시를 사용하십시오.
당신이 원하는 콘크리트 표면은 구멍이 많고
건조한 콘크리트뿐이다.
3. 중간 낮잠 롤러로 동시에 끼워 넣고 말아 Mineral Silicate Stain 제품을 바른다.
