As these natural papers behave differently to mainstream products,
here are three application techniques to be aware of:
1. There is no pattern repeat, which means you're supposed to see
the edges of the paper. Also, an acrylic paint base-coat tinted
to a similar tone to the paper will help conceal joins: avoid strong colour
contrasts between the base coat and the papers.
2. Variations in colour and texture are the organic visual
characteristics of these papers. Just make sure you check the batch
numbers first as multiple rolls should be sequential and come from the same batch.
Inspecting the papers before application is probably a good idea too,
just to make sure the colour flows evenly across your wall.
3. These delicate papers are coloured with natural dyes,
so please be careful when appyling the Porter's Paints Wallpaper Paste.
Don't let the paper book for more than two minutes,
and please don't get any paste on the face of the paper.
Wiping the surface with water may discolour the fibres and leave a stain
(if paste does get on the surface then blot with a dry paper towel).
Avoid seam rollers as this tool can force paste out of the edges
so use a clean, dry wallpaper brush instead.
