This product is essentially a modern version of Venetian Plaster,
and begins its life with a dirty coloured base.
I try to minimise adding too much tint as the product
can become runny which causes Fresco to
become more labour intensive during application.
As the base already contains a level of earthy colour,
I would recommend using less of the natural tints (BU, PL, L, C etc.).
Also, try to avoid using white (KX) as this muddies
colours and creates an unnecessary use of tint.
This is a product that works best in mid to dark colours.
I would avoid creating whites.
A couple of helpful hints with this finish would
probably be: Fresco is paler until sealed. So always check your colour after
Stucco Wax has been applied and buffed.
And ideally, Fresco actually lightens overnight,
so double check your custom colour the following day.
