Melanie is a colour consultant who also manages the Porter's Paints shop in Willoughby.
Mel wasn't happy with the shop table that sits at the front of our very popular store.
The wood was covered in wax, splashes of every paint imaginable and looked pretty awful.
So, Mel applied some Dumond Smart Strip to the old, battered piece of furniture and left it all to soak overnight.
The next day she scraped everything off, gave the timber a light sand and sealed everything with Limeproof Undercoat Sealer.
Once dry she brush applied Aqua Gloss Enamel tinted to Aniseed
(Aqua Enamel is also manufactured in a black base, but like all the other bases you have to tint the paint to get the correct colour)
to the table top. Then she painted the legs with Industrial Lustre
(our water based version of bridge paint) tinted to Bombora.
